But it’s not an absolute adherence and mostly for my comfortability. Admittedly, I do tend to reply faster to shorter things; it’s easier for me sometimes than it is to go all in on a para or novella type thread. But I am also more heavily invested in focusing my time and effort into more plotted things. Not necessarily to such an extensive sense, but mostly to have that sort of relationship polished with my writing partners. And I’m always happy to hear other people’s ideas and wishlists.SHIPPING . I am definitely easy to please in this department but at the end of the day CHEMISTRY is important. This applies to both mun and muse. I’m very comfortable with almost all ship dynamics: platonic and romantic. And I do play Bruce as someone who identities as BISEXUAL/DEMIROMANTIC just as a note. This extends to both CANON-COMPLIANT AND OCXCANON dynamics. As far as NOTPS, while I do enjoy the BATJOKES dynamic, I’m not comfortable with them in aromantic or sexual context outside of unreciprocated on Bruce’s side. It’s definitely not something you will find easily on here unless specifically and heavily plotted as the case with a few partners. As well as given the age of my Bruce as far as the main timeline goes, he’s not really comfortable with dating anyone younger than 25 at the most, so any range higher than that is preferable.OC CHILDREN. This is less of a discouragement and more of a warning since I’m very accepting when it comes to Bruce adopting children. Canon or otherwise. However, as far as any blood or biological children goes, unless its relegated to a specific verse with a writing partner, his only biological children would be Helena Wayne ( re. Selina Kyle ) and Damian Al Ghul (re. Talia Al Ghul.) Anything beyond that is pursued to have been plotted out before.CONTENT . And Dark Knight and White Knight fight until there’s nothing left of each other.^{_{― Batman: Endgame, Scott Snyder}}And they fall and all that comes out is bold big black letters, BATMAN IS DEAD, on the Gotham Tribune.Felled by the hands of the CLOWN PRINCE. Lost to the ruins of disaster that has nearly ruined the city that has had to build itself back up twice over. Until a call disturbs the unstirred Manor in the middle of the night and off the loyal Pennyworth, nearly last to his name, rushing back into the city, into the rubble and comes back home with his boy. (Batman: Superheavy, Scott Snyder)The Lazarus Pit under Gotham is his saving grace. Free from death’s clutches once more without his memory is the small price to pay. That and the horror of not knowing, the struggle of not recognizing his friends and the torture of rehabilitation is what fills his months until he comes close to feeling more like himself again. More like the Bruce Wayne he could recognize and the mask he’d wear aroundBruce Wayne is alive.Without memory and without purpose. A shell of the man he used to be. Barely alive and not even nearly dead at all. The Lazarus Pit is his saving grace, pulling him away from death’s final clutches once more. But not enough to rid him of the scars, the torture of the whole ordeal as he struggles to make sense of who and what he was.Father? Son? Batman?It takes months before he feels himself again while the city festered and his family struggled in his absence. A man nearly forced to watch the city he loved dissolve like a rotting corpse right before his eyes without comprehension or power to do anything about it. A Father made to look his children in the eye without seeing anything. A blanket of darkness he would kill to turn over and bring back the light.And it works - almost like a switch - as bits and pieces come back. His mistakes and his losses are always the loudest and always in the forefront. And the city is once again in ruin, crying out, with no symbol in sight.But the Bat is there.Back with a VENGEANCE. No longer bound by the same rules and constraints of his previous life, he aims to work better with the system he had already built in his absence, his children, his allies, all working together for the good of the city. Streamlining what he knew now were the best assets he was working to begin with: Gotham’s Finest, his homeless information network, the kids and the residents on the grounds, both Bat and Bruce Wayne. Close in the ranks.Allowing himself to dream of a future not so singularly devoted to war but to a legacy that can outlive him. A future where his children, his family, would not know the fear of loss that he knew.With the change, he goes out with a new suit. Coming back from the dead to take back the fear and loss and chaos that Joker left in his wake.Bringing back his city into the light.

> Main Timeline is always using the rebirth suit . It emphasizes not only that Bruce’ strongest tactic is always making himself the target of his enemies' attacks. But the BAT SYMBOL as an impenetrable sigil lit up in the dark, both for people’s fears and hopes, embodied within the new suit.> AS FAR AS HIS NO KILL CLAUSE goes, he will reach for every corner of opportunity, fair or not, to avoid having to kill someone himself, but whether as a Father or as Batman, and made to choose, he will choose the life of the innocent person over those who have actively sought others harm. Whether that means putting himself in harm’s way or committing self-defense, he will. But that would still be dependent on more extreme cases where he is absolutely given no other choice to save the situation and all avenues have failed. Personally, I'm on the "bruce uses batman as a coping mechanism" AND THAT'S WHY FOR HIM, HE CAN'T JUSTIFY KILLING in his head. But again, given an unwinnable circumstance and made to actually choose, he will choose to save someone than lose some moral battle with the universe and handle the repercussions himself. Nonetheless, he still emphasizes his belief that there is a better way than killing.> JUST AN EXTENSION, but as far as my INTERPRETATION OF BRUCE GOES, HIS NUMBER ONE RULE from now on is THE PROMISE HE MADE ON HIS PARENT'S GRAVE which doesn't negate the previous rule where murder is an acceptable realm. His priority will just be saving lives first and foremost, especially the lives of CHILDREN WHEN IN DANGER.> He suffers from a cocktail of mental illness but namely PTSD, ANXIETY and MILD ALCOHOLISM. He has strong controls of his triggers and most of its comeuppance comes in the form of nightmares or insomnia. He is also a deeply paranoid person which doesn’t always give him the best insight or decision making. His rough days leads him to defend on alcohol to cope and almost too much when his nightmares make him a little worse. These are just parts of who he is.> My Bruce is going to therapy, albeit not consistently, but he does go every 6 month sor so to see his therapist DR. CHASE MERIDIAN . A close confident of Batman, not so much as Bruce wayne. And through this, he is taking medication mostly for his anxiety and insomnia. And have been trying to get him to discuss some of his Autism Spectrum Disorder symptoms.> His known affiliates within the GCPD are JIM GORDON, RENEE MONTOYA and HARVEY BULLOCK . This doesn't mean he doesn’t interact with other cops, they are mostly just his direct contact.> Most questionable writing Pre-52 and N52 such as: Tom King’s Batman Arc, Zatanna Erasing Bruce’s memory, Tommy Elliot being kept in a cell outside of legal jurisdiction and Morrisons’ Talia Al Ghul characterizationmay be verse dependent on partners. But as far as my personal writing goes, they’re either ignored or kind of in limbo and addressed on a thread / partner basis.

/ WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE CAPED CRUSADER?>

01. OFF WORLD/CROSSOVER. General verse or setting that does not fit the MAIN TIMELINE OR ARC but still follows canon.02. DCEU MAIN ARC. Coincides with most of the events as it happened in Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice (2016), with headcanon based deviations. For a short period of time before his introduction to Superman , he has been working alone. Ignoring the efforts of his extended family to deal with his grief at the loss of ROBIN aka DAMIAN WAYNE . This, compounded with the events of Man of Steel (2013), led him to a darker path in his life. The citizens of Gotham see a mean streak to the DARK KNIGHT's approach that not only strikes fear in the scum of the streets but the good people as well.DCEU DIVERSIONS. Most of the events within the Trinity v Doomsday fight happens as it does in canon. The canon within Justice League ( 2017 ) film is not followed or recognized. Some inspiration might be applied and superman’s death but it is completely muse dependent. However it is still this introduction to Clark and his sacrifice that inspires a new sense of purpose in him. To prove himself to be better. To have learned through superman’s sacrifices that men can still be good. Bruce comes back with an almost obsessive purpose to prove himself. To do better. To make reparations on the legacy he might one day have to leave behind and to reconnect with his kids_{DISCLAIMER. *THIS VERSE DOESN'T RECOGNIZE ANYTHING PAST Zack Snyder's Justice league (2021) as canon. And this is also my verse for DCTV canon. Plotting beforehand is preferred since I'm not well versed or generally interested in the CW's interpretations of canon. *}03. DCEU ALT ORIGIN. This is mainly to accomodate for THE BATMAN (2022) into my DCEU timeline. Otheriwse origin as applied to DCEU timeline remains the same, heavily comic-based. CANON DIVERGENCE in terms of the following specifics: It would be set somewhere in the late 90s, so not modern and Bruce has only been working for 6 months in Gotham City. He has not yet set up his Bruce Wayne identiy for the public but he is legally declared alive again after disappearing for eight years. None of Earth One's Influence as seen in the movie will be considered canon, namely (e.g. Alfred and Bruce's relationship and Martha being an Arkham). The main origin influence would mostly be focused on Frank Millers Year One. As far as fighting style and personality, my Bruce would still be more comic-adjacent and he would not have an armored suit, so he's a lot more scarred and has been brutally shot many times. The events as it pertains to the Riddler and Catwoman and Falcone can be considred as canon except Thomas' connection to Falcone is more involving helping him after he was shot and not reporting said event to the police. The Bat, as far as the GCPD is concerned is a vigilant and it is shoot on sight._{DISCLAIMER. This is strictly if you want to plot in this adapted verse. Unless specified, the main verse where Bruce is much older and already has history will be considered. I will not be using Robert Pattinson as a face claim just out of preference. If you want my alt live action face claim, just let me know. Or if you prefer iconless, I understand.}04. BATMAN WHO LAUGHS. The Alternate version of Bruce Wayne that upon the death of Joker exposes him to a toxin that changes him. Turns him into something that he was nver meant to be. An apex predator and arbiter for chaos. A direct result of Bruce Wayne's worst fears and an agent of the Dark Multiverse.05. MARVEL OR MCU. Similar canon to MAIN TIMELINE only adapted to the Marvel's Cinematic Universe. He still works from Gotham, New Jersey. Maintains strict confidentiality in regard to his double life which is only known to a few, namely the BAT-FAMILY. Worked around the same circles as TONY STARK before his disappearance and maintains a good standing in the business world relatively behind Stark Industries. He is mostly considered a myth outside of Gotham City and outside of all the avengers, has only made contact with BLACK WIDOW . Although he has met BRUCE BANNER at some event sometime in the past. Bruce doesn’t necessarily approve of how the Avengers operated at first, mostly in regards to their secret identities which they theoretically have none since he’s very protective of his own. Functioning more under the lines of putting his own loved one’s safety before his and maintaining a strict line between his nightlife from his day life to save them from the former bleeding out into the latter. Mostly, however, he sticks to his city and lets the big guns deal with the rest unless he could provide some actual help ( although often in the form of Bruce Wayne, rather than Batman which means Bruce spends a lot of the limelight focused more on him doing philanthropic work as Bruce Wayne. )06. SUPERNATURAL. This is more for a general supernatural verse setting where Bruce was raised as a normal child until his parents untimely death brings him face to face with the history of his parent’s conflicted relationship. Martha Wayne being born into a family of wolves and Thomas having been born into a long history of supernatural hunters . It is with this history that he struggles with and disappears from when he turns 18 after nearly a decade of training to become a hunter only to find out that his parents death was nothing more than an accident and his thirst for vengeance was for naught. It’s in his disappearance however that his werewolf gene is activated and he is forced to deal with how to live as something he had thought he hated for a good majority of his childhood. As he grew into it, on his own and going through the world, he mastered remarkable restraint enough to come back home. Occasionally, going off still to follow the path Alfred had helped set up for him and hunting down monsters but also coming back with a promise to make it better for kids like him who have no idea how to handle one world over the other.07. APOCALYPSE. A MAD MAX inspired verse of Bruce Wayne, dressed as a bat, going through desolate wastelands with a bunch of acrobatic kids, dismantling overzealous despots trying to control limited resources and helping people along the way. Adaptable to most apocalyptic settings with minor tweaks for each one. Plot Dependent.08. SINGLE DAD. Bruce Wayne comes home a more wordly man after a gap year that leads him to explore the world. Meeting different people. Some bad. Some good. That prompts him to return to his city of Gotham with a vengeance and a drive to bring back the city his Parents had died for to its former glory. Abandoning the plans for med school for an MBA to focus on the business and use it as a means to help battle against the corruption and civic duties that were utterly lacking. All the while adopting orphans into his own rather unconventional family. Offers another variation where he adopts all the kids at a young age and still does VIGILANTE WORK ON THE SIDE.09. MOBSTER BOSS. Bruce got into it on his own at 18. Partly manipulated into it by the Court of Owls, convinced at 16 that it was Falcone that set out a hit on Thomas and Martha Wayne.He shoots him in a public setting on his 18th birthday but only hit his shoulder. And he watched as Gotham’s Finest hid and buried and stepped on their legacy by burying them in lies and conspiracy that justice was never served. He was made to suck it up and fuck off because Wayne Enterprises was caught in an intricate deal that the Board of Directors could not afford making and his parents were just collateral damage in getting the deal signed. As soon as he was able, he ran off. Leaving Bruce Wayne behind and living his life as one of them, the criminals, the downtrodden, the people with nothing and as far away from the people that took everything. Eventually, he settles as a JACK OF ALL TRADES, someone you call when you need that extra hand on a stint and you need your back watched, someone who can just step on that pedal a little harder to get away from the supes and the cops of the world, someone who you know you can trust and can pull that trigger if needed. ARC 02. At some point, it’s not enough. He sees what these supes are doing to the same people his parents had sworn to protect. He sees what no one else seems to see: Supes Had to Die. But he knew he had to be practical, he knew he needed means and influence he just didn’t have as “JACK.” He needed to be more, to be better. He needed to be Bruce Wayne again, with all of his influence and his money, to forge the promise of a safe gotham. A gotham where he wouldn’t need to rely on the police or the supers to save it. All he would need is himself, a cave, and the means to bring down whatever stands in way. And maybe that’s how THE JOKER gets him. Or maybe it’s been his plan all along. Piss him off enough he puts a slugger through his chest and damn the consequences. Hell for Gotham and hell for him. It starts slow, almost like a poison. He doesn’t see it for days and for once, it's almost like he’s a hero to gotham. The Bat Freak takes out the clown. Until a new Bat Freak took over. Something in the joker’s blood got on him, it was changing him, from worse to worse, and before he could catch on, it was too late. The virus had taken its course. The Joker venom combined with Vought’s newest experiment turns Bat Freak into Clown Freak and the media dubbed him as the BATMAN WHO LAUGHS. And its a whole new ball game to play in. Only no one knows who the players are because he has his sights on all of them. Good, Bad and the Supes.
